Hi Karen. Good post. It was easy to follow and simple enough to put into practice.

My one comment is regards to the comment that it's best to post early in the morning. I feel this presumes your only readers live in America. For me, living in South Africa, it's okay to post to my blog early, but no Americans will read it for hours. Therefore I rarely post to social media in my morning.

Thanks for the reminder about the need for to use SEO effective keywords. That's one thing I need to remember.

Karen, loved the post. It was clear, informative, and easy to understand. I'm trying to get up to speed on this stuff, so it's a huge help to me right now.

I'm going to try this out on one of the blogger blogs I post on.

Thanks again.

Excellent Karen. This is a fresh way to share content which is easy to unerstand and engaging. I think that music or sound effects would detract from it. It's perfect as is. I'll have to give it a try - maybe in my next WOTM post!

Thanks Shirley! I appreciate the input! And, you're so right - the internet is worldwide. I think the time is for all though, no matter where you are. Studies show that people tend to open and read posts early in the morning.

Margaret, Thanks for the input! It's really easy to tweak posts and so worthwhile. Glad you found it helpful.

Maggie, Thanks for the input! Slideshare is such a simple tool to use and does offer a fresh approach to content.

What I especially like about it is you don't need to create a video and you get the HTML code to put on your own site.

This is great, Karen, easy to understand and very helpful. I'll have to keep slideshare in mind!

Karen, I love Powerpoint too. It's so easy to use! Problem is, it does need a voice over. The slides are not always self-explanatory. The Slideshare folk tell me they don't support integral sound or animation so, for me, that rules out Slideshare. The solution I've found is to put the Powerpoint presentation onto video, using Moyea, then upload that video to YouTube. (Metacafe is another option but it wrecks the video with advertising.) You can then imbed the video, complete with sound and animation, in your blog, Google+ and Facebook.

An addendum: I've just noticed that Slideshare drops its own advertising offers onto the last slide. That's where you want folks to stop and ponder _your_ offer, not someone else's! Another good reason to shun Slideshare...

John, I do kind of agree that Slideshare is a bit dry without audio, but it's quick and easy.

I hadn't noticed their promo at the end!

I have to get into video - I've been procrastinating because of the learning curve. One of these days I'll have to buckle down and just do it. :)

Hi Karen, I liked your Slideshare presentation because I could go at my own pace and take notes. It helped me iron out some of my kinks from my posts on your WOTM blog. I'm interested in learning about video.

Hi, Linda,

I'm so glad this slideshare helped you. I just realized that it doesn't play through and you have to go to the Slideshare site to finish. I'm not crazy about that and not sure if I'll use it again.

Thanks for stopping by!
